if you haven't been to the field museum yet, definitely carve out an afternoon and go. it's one of my favorite spaces just because you can get lost int he galleries checking out some amazing stuff. natural history museums have a really interesting overlap with art museums as they catalog cultures and their craft/artistic expression. Objects from the asian, african, etc. galleries at the art institute could totally be in similar spaces at the field.
